Guests are encouraged to make Hidden Cottage their own home for the duration of their stay. You will have the run of the house and benefit from the privacy it has to offer, while only being a three minute walk from the beach and centre of the village. It is a great place to entertain at night or indeed switch off and listen to nature.
Transfer to and from Crown Point airport can be easily arranged. We also recommend local licensed guides for both sea and rainforest trips and provide information about local places of interest.
The houses are looked after by the Douglas family, and as such you are guaranteed a welcoming and personal service.
Complimentary Wi-Fi service is available to guests staying at Hidden Cottage.
Castara is a great place to holiday and some guests choose to spend all their time on the two fantastic beaches and treks around the village. Englishman´s Bay is within easy reach - 10 minutes by car or bus. If you feel adventurous you can also walk. The village is on the edge of the oldest protected rainforest in the western hemisphere and local guides are full of knowledge and will ensure you get to see the very best of what the forest has to offer. Castara also makes a great base to explore the island, with less accessible villages of Charlotteville and Speyside a 45 minute drive north. You can also head south to Crown-point, Store Bay, Mount Irvine and Buccoo. All are about a 30 - 45 minute drive away. Castara gives visitors the very best of the Caribbean, near enough to the more southern tourists areas but far enough away to take you into the heart of true Caribbean life. It is a dream.
